- Overview
- Porus One® is a special carbon-based substance that binds precursors of the uraemic toxins such as indole or p-cresol in the gut before they reach the kidneys.
- Composition
- Porus One consists of 100% Renaltec 500mg. Renaltec is composed of tiny, homogeneous spheres (0.1–0.3mm diameter) with a smooth surface containing numerous pores.
- Indication
- Indicated for cats with chronic kidney disease (CKD) to reduce intestinal absorption of uremic toxins by binding precursors in the gut, thereby supporting renal function.
- Administration & Dosage
- Administer once daily at mealtime. Tasteless and odorless. If the cat takes other oral medications, those should be given at least two hours prior.
